Some of us were born athletes. Others were given the gift of creativity — unless you’re one of those weirdos who’s both. The athletically blessed have been a hot topic this week, but we’d like to give the artists a shoutout, too.

The Olympics have inspired people around the planet, but some have gone so far as to create artwork based on these historical events. These illustrations, graphics, photos and other forms of medium celebrate the Games. Some are amazing, some inspiring — and some a little unusual.
